Back Pain Sucks

Monday, May 31st, 2004

lowbackpain.jpgI dunno if I have ever written on here about my problems with back pain. It has gotten pretty bad in the past couple of weeks. I’m writing this lying on my back cause sitting upright causes me a lot of pain. I went to the chiropractor today, which always helps a lot, and am feeling quite a bit better. I will need to start back with my back exercises and a bit of jogging next week. That is what keeps my back well at the end of the day.

If you pray, I woudn’t mind it if you threw up a few today. Thanks.

Updated Links

Monday, May 31st, 2004

I updated some links on the sidebar today.

I decided that if people can’t update their blogs semiregularly, I can’t put links to their blogs on mine. Hope that isn’t too harsh.

Also updated a couple of links to websites. The essential one for MacUsers is especially sweet. Even if you do use filthy PC’s (that’s most of you according to this servers webstats), check it out too. The Konfabulator will make you green with envy… Maybe you’ll want to defect!

We’re Going to the EuroCup

Monday, May 31st, 2004

euro2004.jpgThat’s right ladies and gents! We’re going to the EuroCup. For you non-europeans out there, that probably doesn’t mean much. Actually, it probably just doesn’t mean anything to you americans out there. Just think Superbowl… only the rest of the world cares who wins! he he he…

We’re going to see a Group B game, France v. Croatia. Should be a pretty good game. We are supposedly pretty near the field, hopefully the tickets are good. We bought them on eBay, so you never know EXACTLY what you’re gonna get. We’ll see… So we’ll head to Portugal in about 10 days for a bit.

My Dad’s Arrived Safely

Friday, May 28th, 2004

We arrived at the airport a few minutes late to pick up my Dad and his girlfriend. When we got there, we found her talking a bit in Spanish to some old guy that might have been a security guard. Dad was standing by a payphone scratching his head. Apparently he had stuck his credit card in a payphone (there was a little slot for calling cards) trying to call me and it had gotten stuck. He didn’t look too happy. I could hardly contain the laughter.

The guard with Maricel (Dad’s girlfriend) came over and asked what happened. I told him my Dad had stuck his credit card in the phone trying to call me (you don’t do that over here). He took one look at the payphone and in typical Andaluz fashion (everybody’s a hero) declared it would take him one try to get the stuck card out of the phone. He stepped up to the phone, lifted the receiver, and pulled the card right out! Classic.

My Dad and his girlfriend

Wednesday, May 26th, 2004

My Dad and his girlfriend get here on Thursday. I’m looking forward to it.

Tomorrow Heather and I have to go to the centre of town and jump through some more bureaucratic hoops to get anothe rcopy of her Spanish ID card. It takes sooo long. After this its just 3 more weeks and then the card will be done. Then we get to renew it in another couple months!!! Vaya perdida de tiempo. Lo que les cuesta a algunos hacer una tarea simple. AARRRGGGHHH!

The good thing about going to do all this is that it is right next to our friend Juanan’s (see photo) work. Yummy breakfast with a good friend.

Photoshop, KISS and growing old with style…

Wednesday, May 26th, 2004

What happens when you have Photoshop and a bit too much time on your hands? You start doing stuff like this. I guess technology and boredom is the mother of all invention.

While we’re on the subject, KISS were really nifty. I saw one of their more recent concerts on DVD a while ago and I have to say it was a “little” weird to see guys that are almost 50 (or more than 50) galavanting around like sex symbols. I think these pandas are a bit more attractive than those guys were… Which isn’t to say that I don’t think that old people can’t be sexy, but I am not really sure that they should wear leather pants and, um… prosthetics? ahem… I doubt I’ll be wearing cowhide in 21 years to be honest. I would hope that I would still be active and in love with my wife, but um… maybe with a little more style?
